Our Academic purpose is to prepare students to be critical thinkers and to be able to adapt to life's challenges intellectually, effectively, personally and socially. We offer Spanish Language Education and "hands-on" Computer Education, in addition to Music and Art Education starting in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We also offer White Board interactive technology and we are expanding this program. Our Honor Roll is an outstanding incentive to retaining excellent grades and is offered from grades 4-8. We are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and our Standardized Tests are the ITBS and Cogat in addition to State Science, ELA and Math tests.
Our Extracurricular School ActivitiesWe offer the students opportunities to participate in Band, Choir, Boys and Girls Scouts and CYO. We partake in special community service events and have numerous seasonal activities throughout the year.
TechnologyEach student at Saint Columbanus attends Computer Classes once a week. The computer lab is equipped with 24 internet-ready computers and an extensive software library available for students of all ages to develop their technological skills. In addition, the school has SMART Board interactive technology; every classroom has internet access.
Music ProgramSaint Columbanus offers regular music classes to all students. Students take part in numerous performances for faculty and parents throughout the year, including an annual Christmas Concert and Spring Concert. Saint Columbanus also has after school band that meets once a week.
Physical EducationSaint Columbanus believes that Physical Education is an integral part of students' health and well-being. All grades participate in Physical Education in the school's full-size gym.
